More information
Every plant loves a little extra care! It is best for the Yucca to be repotted straight after your purchase and further once every three years. It is best to repot in the spring, because then the growth period of the Yucca also starts, and the plant is strong enough to recover from the move. Roots may be damaged, but don’t worry about that as it is a very strong plant. It is very important that the new pot is at least 20% larger than the old one and that it is filled with fresh potting soil.
Pruning is not necessary for the Yucca. The only thing that is good to do is watch the lower leaves and peel them down when they look limp. Be careful of the juice that gets out of the plant because it could irritate your skin.
Does your Yucca have brown leaves? This is probably the result of too much sunlight causing burned leaves. You can fix this by placing the yucca one meter further away from the window.
Does your Yucca have yellow leaves? This is probably the result of too much water. Skip watering the Yucca for a couple of weeks. Then water the plants with smaller quantities.
Does your Yucca have hanging leaves? This is probably the result of too much water. Skip watering the Yucca for a couple of weeks. Then water the plants with smaller quantities.
