More information
Every plant loves a little extra care! It is best for the Ficus to be repotted straight after your purchase and further once every two years. It is best to repot in the spring, because then the growth period of the Ficus also starts, and the plant is strong enough to recover from the move. It is very important that the new pot is at least 20% larger than the old one and that it is filled with fresh potting soil. Also don’t give the Ficus too much water after repotting.
Prune the Ficus every fall or if the plant is getting way to big. You can just do that with a pruner. Sometimes the Ficus can bleed a little, when it’s a lot it’s good to seal the wounds with candle wax.
Does your Ficus lose a lot of leaves? This is probably the result of a too low air intensity. You can fix this but putting your Yucca closer to the window.
Does your Ficus have yellow leaves? This is probably the result of too little nutrition. You can fix this by giving extra nutrition every month.
Does your Ficus have grey leaves? This is probably the result of a disease. You can fix this by using biological medicines.
