Hello Plants delivers all indoor plants freshly picked from our plant nurseries, to give you the highest quality plants. Our plant nurseries make it possible to offer a big and diverse assortment of indoor tropical plants. From the big well known Monstera Deliciosa to the smaller cute Calathea Dottie. This way you can really make your place a green oasis. Sustainable plant growing

One of Hello Plants core values is growing plants in a sustainable manner. That’s why, in our plant nurseries, there is not only good care for the plants but we also look at taking care of the environment.

This is done in several ways, for example:

Minimizing the energy consumption. In some nurseries we lower the energy consumption by using solar panels, so the energy is self generated and it reduces co2 emissions. In others we use hot water from a well for heating the nursery.

Minimizing the water usage. In some nurseries we minimize the water usage by collecting rainwater and using it for the exotic plants. The excess water is collected and reused later. In others we use the high tide – low tide technique.

Minimizing the excess waste. In our nurseries we actively separate all resources and so many resources can be reused or recycled.

Eventually this results in an even more greener plant!

 

 

 

Air purifying plants

All plants that Hello Plants delivers are air purifying! This means that the houseplants reduce the pollution in the air.

But what is this pollution, you ask?

Pollution exists of volatile organic compounds, VOC, a collective name for organic substances that evaporate easily at room temperature. VOC is released from various products, such as: paint and cleaning agents, printer ink, cosmetics, air fresheners and a lot more.

By placing plants in your home, office or wherever you like the polluting particles will be absorbed and your air will become cleaner. Sustainable delivery 
															

																			

								
At Hello Plants we try to do everything to help the environment. That’s why we think it’s super important to also look at sustainable delivery possibilities. We work together with a delivery company that shares this value with us.


The plants are delivered in a cultivation pot and paper box that are both completely recyclable. On this box there are visible icons for the deliverer on how to take care of the package. All our nurseries have the MPS certificate. This shows that we, in our nurseries, are doing everything we can to be the most green we can be. Not only is this certificate recognized worldwide, it also gives us a tool on how to always move forward in sustainability.


Because MPS is more than a certificate. It is a monitoring tool that allows us to turn the right knobs in order to reduce our environmental impact. By registering consumption, the sustainability of a company’s production is measured. Ultimately, this leads to more conscious use of resources and knowledge about how to always remain sustainable.
