Dracaena Marginata
This Dracaena Marginata is a real eye-catcher. So it’s time to take good care of your new dragon tree.
The Dracaena doesn’t like light and loves a place in the shade. The perfect temperature for the dragon tree is between 18 and 24 °C.
The dragon tree likes a sip of water regularly, so that the soil remains moist. However, no water should remain in the pot! This can cause root rot.
The Dracaena also likes the moist leaves by misting. This is not necessary, but certainly ensures a beautiful leaf and prevents contamination by insects!

More information
Every plant loves a little extra care! It is best for the Dracaena to be repotted every year, even if your Dracaena still seems to have enough space. It is best to do this in the spring, because then the growth period of the Dracaena also starts and the plant is strong enough to recover from the move. Roots may be damaged, but don’t worry about that as it is a very strong plant. It is very important that the new pot is at least 20% larger than the old one and that it is filled with fresh potting soil.
Pruning is not necessary for the Dracaena. The only thing that is good to do is sometimes trim the leaves. For example when the Dracaena has been in the sun and the leaves are a little burned. When you want to trim the leaf it’s important to use a pruner and cut the leaf 2cm above the stem.
Does your Dracaena have curled leaves? This is probably because the soil is to dry. You can fix this by giving the Dracaena some extra water.
Does your Dracaena have brown stains with? This is probably the result of too much water causing root rot. You can try to fix this by not giving water until the soil is completely dry and then give water again. Otherwise you can try to repot the Dracaena, but be careful with the roots.
Does your Dracaena have yellow leaves? This is probably the result of too much light. You can fix this by putting the plant in a different place with more shadow.
